Giovanni has been able to be part of a life saving clinical trial in Italy. Amy, Giovanni and his baby sister will be traveling to Italy again for follow up doctor visits. Brad will be staying with Livi and the family's two oldest children here in the states. As I have a "million dollar baby" of my own I know how medical expenses can weigh on a family

I recently started selling Lia Sophia Jewelry and I have decided to use this to help the family with their trip to Italy. My heart goes out to this beautiful family and I want to do all I can to help, and I hope you do too. I'm going to run my fundraising event in a three prong attack. First, I will be hosting an online catalog party were you can order at my website, www.liasophia.com/rebeccaschmelzer and I will donate 15% of the sales to the family. Party will be from Jan 30th -Feb 8th, for delievery of jewelry before Valentines day. The second thing I will do is anyone that books a show in February or March and states they want to help the family I will donate 15% from those shows too. Catalog and home shows! And the third part, which is my favorite, I'm hosting a raffle. I will be selling 100 tickets at $20 a piece. The winner gets to order $1000 in Lia Sophia jewelry. I will use random.org to choose the winner. I'm also going to pull two more winners that will get to pick anything in the catalog that is $100 or less as their prize. The family will get $1000. I'm so excited to be able to host this raffle for them. I've been thinking about the process for the raffle. Payments can be sent through paypal as donations (rebecca1217@msn.com ) or you can send checks to Rebecca Schmelzer at 6635 Evans St Omaha Ne 68104. I will make a spreadsheet and update it with name and raffle number and post on my blog. That way you will know your raffle numbers and that I have received your payment. I'm also aware that we may have more than 100 people who want to participate. If that is the case I will open a second raffle with the same prizes. I want to keep the odds of winning as high as I can. You would think getting a three year old to preschool would be an easy task. Not this year. First of all our friends the Barua's moved away so I had to find a new sitter for Leo. Let me tell you it is so hard to trust someone you don't know with your child. After lots of searching we found Laurie, I think Leo will love being at her house. She has two puppies for Leo to love too. After we found Laurie I called the school to switch Leo's bus pick-up to her house. When the paper worked arrived at our house they had him riding the bus an hour before school and an hour after school.

Needless to say David and I were not happy about that at all. So I called the Head of the Early childhood program at OPS with my concerns. She was great and had Leo transfered to a different school with in two hours. However that means that today was Leo's first day at a totally new school, with a much bigger class. He's at Laura Dodge and they have a combined Early childhood and headstart program. David and I both dropped him off to meet his teachers and see the room. The teacher seems sweet and Leo was super happy to sit by a friend from Sunday school and start singing along with the music.

David will be able to take Leo to school tomorrow but Monday and Tuesday he already has teaching jobs so we have had to ask a friend to take Leo to school and pick him up. Keeping my fingers crossed that this all works out smoothly. Oh yeah the bus stopped at the sitters today to pick Leo up for his old school. Must remember to call them again tomorrow I'm sure Laurie didn't need that wake up call this morning.

We decorated cards for the troops and then Santa came and read the kids a couple of books. Leo was so excited to see Santa. Thankfully there was a few awesome Mom's with shy kids that didn't mind Leo slipping past them to get to Santa. He even asked Santa for drums, which is a good thing since Santa dropped them off early and left them in our basement since they were too big for the sleigh.

Happy Halloween! Here are the three cutest kids out that night, Spider Harris, Dragon Ethan, and Cowboy Leo. Leo did not want a costume with a mask or anything too spooky this year. So we opted for the cowboy; he loves his hat and guns and wore them for weeks on end.

And this little ham is celebrating Thanksgiving at our church. Heather planned an activity of decorating cookies like Turkeys. Leo saw Jessica with the camera and turned on the charm, he can be such a silly turkey himself when he wants. And he decorated his cookie all by himself. Having learned awesome techique from Grandma Sue while decorating his gingerbread house. (sorry no pictures that day I forgot the camera).

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-79486361638201024272010-11-27T14:22:00.000-08:002010-11-27T14:31:15.307-08:00The Tree is up!

I'm super excited about Christmas this year. Its the first year that Leo is aware of what is going on. He's loved all the lights and trees in the stores we took the evening last night and set up our tree. Leo helped by putting all the penguin bulbs on the tree so they are all on the bottom branches. I'm kind of a crazy parent and decide to keep Leo up late on Thanksgiving so we could hit walmart at midnight.(okay Leo decided he didn't want to go to bed so we went as a family) Can't say it was the most fun I've ever had but Leo was so cute. I had him on my shoulders trying to make our way through the crowds all off the sudden I'm hearing him sing Jingle Bells. It was the sweets thing I've ever heard. So now I'm crying as we walk through Walmart. Silly thing is I only found two things I wanted and after looking at the lines. We put it back and left. I can't wait to take Leo to see Santa this year and Christmas morning is going to be so wonderful watching the wonder in Leo's eyes. So bring on the holidays!
Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-8640448002619339132010-11-25T16:55:00.000-08:002010-11-25T17:21:33.519-08:00Christmas cards!

I bet you’re all surprised to see a new blog post from me. It’s been a while sorry about that. I friend told me about this awesome Christmas card give away for bloggers. http://blog.shutterfly.com/5358/holiday2010-blog-submission-form/. And I thought wow, what a great motivation to update my blog and have awesome Christmas cards to share with my family and friends this year.

So here goes.................. The last few years at Christmas time I have looked for a great Christmas card to send to out. This is so important to me, because Leo was so small his first Christmas. We had so many friends and family praying for him. I wanted an easy way to share pictures of him with everyone; that didn’t take a ton of time away from me being in the NICU with him. Shutterfly has awesome cards that you can order online. http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-cards/t_blank. These cards are awesome you write your message inside attach the picture you want and you can even add your Christmas letter mailing list and they will mail them for you. Talk about making it super easy to stay in touch with family and friends. And the cards are super cute too. Check out this one.

Finding the perfect card to show how Leo has changed over the year has become a favorite holiday activity to me. I love the photo cards that allow you to show off more than one picture of your family. Shutterfly has hundreds to pick from. http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-photo-cards/t_blanks-photo-cards/t_blank. This allows you to show family and friends all the highlights of the year. It’s so hard when you take pictures all year long to pick that one perfect picture that allows you to share your year with family and friends. Cards like this one give you the option to allow your families true personalities to shine through.

Last year on top of great Christmas cards I made photo books and calenders as gifts. It’s super easy with shutterfly. http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars/t_blank I love having my calender having family pictures instead of the free one that the bank hands out with pictures of random animials or houses. And it was cool to see how much Leo has changed from Halloween last year to this year. I can’t wait to make my Christmas cards and calenders this year. I’m leaning towards this card. I love the Christmas Letter right on the front with the pictures. But with so many to choose from you will just have to wait to open your mailbox to see if it’s the one that both David and I agree on.

Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-16345233580203416192010-01-31T19:13:00.000-08:002010-01-31T19:17:58.847-08:00Thanksgiving

Here's Leo in his Thanksgiving outfit. So I finally got my pictures put on CD's so that I can add them to the blog. Sad to say but that means that I still haven't said much about Leo's Birthday. I'm that far behind. We invited a few friends over to help celebrate and the boys had a blast playing in Leo's room. We have turned Leo's swimming pool into a ball pit. What else do you do with a swimming pool during winter in Nebraska. I had trouble getting a good shot of all the boys. In the picture with Leo are Angus (a NICU friend) and Brenden(baby of Nurse Katie). Brenden didn't have time for pictures there was so many balls to toss about.

Leo's awesome Birthday outfit is made by our friend Jessica. Yesterday he bounced back to his funny, hyper self. They hep-locked his IV and added extra tubing to his Oxygen so he could explore his room. There was no stopping him. He knocked on the door to the room until I opened it so he could see what was going on in the hallway. He then proceeded to smile, wave, say Hi and wink at everyone who passed by. My baby is such a flirt! It made me cry to see Leo being Leo again. The last few days have been pretty scary. Yet both David and I felt a great sense of calm because we knew it was only a small bump in life and Leo would be fine on the other side. Leo was so excited to be free from tubes when they took him off his oxygen that he refuse to take a nap even though he was tired. He just kept moving (maybe we shouldn't have watched Nemo "just keep swimming"). He discovered he could crawl from the couch to the little table to see out the window and watch the snow melting off the building, and that the bathrooms have a wonderful echo. If you haven't heard Leo walking around singing "Leo Leo Leo" and giggling then You can't imagine how excited and cute he was singing in the bathroom and having it echo back at him. I love his laugh. They let us go home about 4:30 yesterday. Leo was doing great at drinking on his own and even manged to eat half a bowl of Mac and Cheese. His oxygen absorption is still borderline but it doesn't fall into a dangerous Level and the Dr said that it could stay border line while he is sleeping for 2 weeks or more. We are very grateful to be home already. One of the nurses said most RSV babies stay somewhere between 5 and 10 days. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to sleep in my own bed. And my guessing Leo agrees since he went to sleep at 9:30 last night and he's still asleep now at 10:30. He woke up at 3 and 6 for a bottle but quickly went right back to sleep. His breathing sounds great and he doesn't have a temp, so I'm just letting him catch up on his sleep.Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-24742812908520726672010-01-12T15:30:00.000-08:002010-01-12T15:33:18.933-08:00Day two in the hospitalLeo decided to start the day early by getting up with his 4 am cares. He was cranky but definitely more Leo like. We played with a dump truck and Monkey. Monkey is a seriously bad driver bouncing off of all the crib rails, then crashing and falling on his head. I know silly, but it was making Leo laugh and we both needed that. The afternoon has been a little rough. Leo really wants a nap but they turned off his oxygen to see how he does on his own. Every time he falls asleep it dips below 90 and sets off an alarm, walking him up and starting the crying fits. I feel terrible for him and have complained a couple time. They turned the alarm down but it still woke him. After fighting the alarm for close to four hours they turned his oxygen back on so he could sleep guaranteeing us another night in the hospital. He's been asleep for about an hour now. His breathing is so much better today and he hasn't had a temp so he is showing some great improvements. Hoping after a nap he will eat and we can wean him tomorrow from the oxygen and then go home.Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-49497693310147605502010-01-11T16:53:00.000-08:002010-01-11T17:12:37.985-08:00RSV SUCKS!So I'll start off apologizing for not updating sooner. I keep thinking that I'll get the pictures on the camera put on a CD so I can upload some great shots of our Christmas fun. I also have a video of Leo running around doing his impression of Kevin from "Home Alone" but the clip is 6 seconds too long for me to upload anywhere to shorten it. And I've just been busy. But Leo is taking us on a roller coaster ride again and I wanted to let our friends and family know. Leo could use some prayers right now. Friday he started coughing....... Saturday he spiked a fever. At midnight he was panting like a puppy and hot, really really hot. David and I decided it was time to see a Dr so off to the ER we flew. The ER was super busy but we got great care for Leo. Poor kid had to have a nasal aspiration, blood work, and they checked for a UTI. He then had an X-ray. Funny the x-ray techs remember Leo and couldn't get over how big he's gotten. He was diagnosed with RSV and an ear infection. He got a breathing treatment and the sent us home with a nebulizer and antibiotics. Sunday we thought he was feeling a little better during the day but it was a really rough night. Leo threw up both doses of his antibiotic yesterday and got sick a couple of more time. He won't eat and was barely drinking. He didn't fall asleep until 4am. At 7am he was burning up again. When we tried to give him Motrin he gagged and dry heaved for a full 5 min. So I quickly dressed and brought Leo back to the ER. Poor David had to go to work, too many snow days lately. When we got to the ER they started Leo's IV almost immediately, I knew then that we where headed upstairs. His breathing was super rapid again and his temp was 103. They gave him another breathing treatment and some IV antibiotics and then moved us upstairs. Where his Respiratory therapist is another familiar face from the NICU. Leo has been really fussy and cuddly all day. He finally settled in around 4 and has been asleep for three hours now. Dr M stopped by and said Leo can go home when he starts drinking and breathing on his own, could be a day, could be a week. RSV just has to run its course there really isn't a treatment for it. You just treat the symptoms. The antibiotics are for the ear infection. I had high hopes that the new tubes would help us avoid those but guess I was wrong. I end this post by saying Merry Christmas and Happy New Year since I haven't done that yet.Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-52254968202984099722009-12-09T14:07:00.000-08:002009-12-09T14:45:01.324-08:00Surgery Living with Leo is always an adventure. He's been sick again. But we have had time for a little fun this past week. We saw Santa last Saturday and then went to a Christmas party for Raqs Awn. Aimee and Lowell always host an awesome Christmas party for the belly dancers. Here's a family photo. As you can see I live with a couple of clowns.

The last few weeks have been busy. We spent Thanksgiving in Iowa at my parents. We had a big family thanksgiving on Saturday with my Mom's side of the family. We got to meet Jacob my cousin Heidi's new son. It was great to see my Grandma and Aunts, Uncle and cousins. I could tell Leo wasn't feeling good the whole time we were at my parents. He didn't want to eat. If it wasn't for Grandma's homemade buns and butter I think Leo wouldn't have eaten anything. We got back to town on Sunday night and Leo started running a fever before bed. By 3 am it was pushing 102 and none of us were getting any sleep. Leo had a doctors appt already scheduled that day. Turns out he still had his ear infection that we have been fighting since Sept. The Doctor decided to give Leo antibiotic shots. Its a series of shots in both legs on Mon, Wed and Fri. We then had to see the specialist on Tuesday (yesterday). The doctor decided Leo needed new tubes put in his ears and as luck would have it he had a 7 am opening for today. We got up at 5 dug our way out of the 3 foot snow drifts and headed to the surgery. Our appt was for 7:15. At a little after 9 the doctor finally showed up. His service had called him to tell him he had a patient cancel and he assumed it was us. Turns out it was his 2:00. Leo was in good spirits before the surgery. Here's a picture of him in his hospital gown holding Monkey.

The surgery went well and only took about 15 min. Leo has been cranky and tired but is doing great. As we speak he is watching Curious George's Christmas video for the 10th time. Hugging his Monkey. We're hoping the new tubes help Leo feel a whole lot better for the rest of the Holidays.

Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-5775221150371713832009-11-21T13:49:00.000-08:002009-11-21T14:09:51.440-08:00Christmas is just around the corner! We have been surrounded by gingerbread houses lately. I'm the gingerbread specialist for our ward at church. The last couple of Thursdays we have decorated houses at the church. I made 18 graham cracker houses for the primary kids to decorate. It took a few nights but it was so much fun to watch them decorate them. Ours where the first gingerbread houses at the trail center, I left them there when we set up last Saturday. This past Thursday we had the adults/families decorate houses. It wasn't a huge turn out but we had fun. I'm hoping there are a few families that decorated house of their own at home. Last night I decorated my house. I wish my camera let me up load pictures so I could show you guys how it turned out. We dropped it off at the trail center at 8:30 last night, the gingerbread display starts today. Mormon Trail Center at Historic Winter Quarters
3215 State St
Omaha, NE 68112
Free admission. Open daily, 9 to 9. Visitor’s Center and Museum depicts the 1846-1860 migration of 90,000 pioneers to the Rocky Mountains. Displays include full sized log cabin, covered wagon, oxen and handcart. Optional guided tours. Nov 21st-Jan 1st Gingerbread Display.

When we were done dropping off the gingerbread houses, David, Leo and I went for a drive. Leo can finally see the Christmas lights from his car seat and likes to point at them and say, "See it"
Bayless Park in Council Bluffs had a ton of lights up already. Leo couldn't stay in his seat anymore he wanted to see the lights up close. So we stopped and took a walk through the park. He was so cute pointing at the lights and running around the squirrel statues. To bad I didn't have my camera. David and I talked about how great it is to be able to just stop and enjoy something like the park. We are trying to make more family memories instead of getting caught up in the rat race that life seems to be as of late. It also helps that Leo is a little older and we don't have to hibernate quite as much this winter. I'm so glad we were able to get him both the regular flu and the H1N1 vaccine. We are looking forward to the holidays and Traveling to Iowa for Turkey day.Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-20869220468821265612009-11-07T07:23:00.000-08:002009-11-07T08:06:23.042-08:00Bellydance and Bagpipes a Baptism, Birthday Parties and HalloweenThe last few weeks have been very busy for us. Tuesday night was Leo's Birthday, check out the great photos from that in his birthday post. Last Friday was Raqs Awns Little Hafla of Horror show at the Benson Pizza shop. We did a fundraiser for the Open Door Mission here in Omaha. We collected a ton of hats, mittens, and scarfs. We also were able to donate around $200 to them. I have to say this was the best show I've been apart of in the 6 years I've been dancing. I think we all had a blast. We had bellydancing chickens, a pirate song, Bollywood dancing skeletons and ended the night with Thiller. We really packed the Pizza shop, it might be time for us to find a bigger venue. If anyone knows of a place with a stage that serves food here in Omaha drop me a line. We like that people can have supper while we perform.

Saturday our niece Jet was Baptized. She turned eight in May and has been patiently waiting for her Dad to get back from training in Texas so she could be baptized. She had such a cute expression on her face as she told me that 6 months is a long time to wait Aunt Becky. And she just glowed with Happiness the whole day. After the Baptism we went over to Darin's house for a Birthday Party for Sky, and took along Leo's extra cake from his Birthday party. We spent the whole day there so that Leo could go trick or treating with his cousins. Leo had so much fun on his first Halloween out and about. When his pumpkin was half full, David and I thought Leo should be done and tried to take him home. Leo had very different plans. I was carrying him as went went past the first house with lights on after this decision, and all of a sudden I have a kicking wiggling mess on my hands. So I put Leo down and he walks right up to the house. We never did teach him to say trick or treat, but he asked for M an M at every stop. I just have to laugh, I swear David and I don't give him M&M's all the time and its a total coincidence that his favorite candy was on our wedding gift registry.
Thursday I took some time off of work, kind of a mental health day you might say. I spent the afternoon holding Leo close and just enjoying who he is growning into. I took him down to the Douglas county health clinic for the H1N1 vaccine. Leo was a real trooper. I let him walk back to the car. He loves being outside and on the go. Leo was amazed by all the leaves blowing around and loved to chase after one and then step on it. When he did he'd look up at me and just giggle with delight. My heart was just overwhelmed with loved for this happy happy boy. I find it so hard to believe how far he has come in the last two years. When we were sitting by his side praying in the NICU I never imagined the joy and happiness and love that I feel when spending time with him now. David and I are so blessed.
Last night was David's Bagpipe Band Mess. We dropped Leo off at our friends' house. (thank-you Lori and Kelly) and headed to the Upstream in west Omaha. Parking still sucked butwe didn't end up walking 6 blocks this year only three. The food was good and the entertainment a blast as always. It was great to hang out with other couples and enjoy an evening of being a couple again. And of course there is nothing like ending an evening with a dozen pipers and half a dozen drummers playing their hearts out.

I really wanted to put this at the bottom of Leo's birthday post but didn't want to upset everyone. But I've decide that this is my blog and I'm just going to do it. Happy Birthday Piper and Kevin! Mommy and Daddy Love and miss you very much.Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-1090991818415185232009-11-07T06:44:00.000-08:002009-11-07T07:11:12.540-08:00Diaper Swap Leo is sleeping in this morning so I thought I'd take the time to update my blog, I'm way behind on this post. I recently was part of a diaper swap hosted by Megan from http://www.newlywednewlybred.com/. This was a ton of fun, once we signed up Megan gave our info to a mommy and we got the information to a different mommy so it was a total surprise who was shopping for you. We were suppose to have our post up a couple of weeks ago but I ran into a small problem. You see Leo woke up from his nap as I was uploading pictures from our camera to the computer. I brought him out the living room where I was working, sat him down and went to get a sippy of milk for him. I'm on my way back when I hear a thud and Leo starts to scream. He tried to follow and tripped on all the cords coming from the camera. In the process we broke the cord to charge the laptop. And the camera so I can no longer just up load pictures to the laptop. I have to take them in and have them put on disk now. This has been on my to do list for a couple of weeks.

I finally had time so here are the pictures of the awesome swap gift from Melanie Judson her blog is at http://smjudson.blogspot.com/ I think this is the first time I have ever gotten mail from Canada. Melanie got me diaper liners, and a Bum genius diaper. This is the first diaper in our stash with Velcro. I love how easy the Velcro is, Leo hasn't started to take it off himself yet but I'm sure that will be just around the corner. He's starting with removing his socks and shoes. Leo can be a bit of a monkey, as you can tell from the pictures.

He didn't want to stay in one place so I could get a good one of the diaper on him. We had so much fun as a family for Leo's Birthday. The festivities started with a weekend visit from Grandma and Papa. We went to Vala's Pumpkin patch on Saturday, Leo had a blast. He loved walking around story book land. He just giggled with delight for being out and having fun. We then took a quick nap and headed to church for trunk or treat. There was a spaghetti supper, followed by a puppet show. Leo loved the puppet show, especially the black light songs. Leo got his first taste of trick or treating after the show. He loved getting candy put in his pumpkin and taking it out of his pumpkin even more. Can't wait to see how he likes Halloween night. Sunday we had cake and ice cream with Grandma and Papa then opened presents from Grandma and Papa and my sibings. Leo was really into unwrapping presents this year so that was fun to watch. On Leo's birthday we decided to take him to one of his favorite resturants, Hollywood Diner. The Diner close to our house has juke boxes at each table. Leo loves to dance along to the great music. And he's a big fan of their french fries. And for deseret a giant clown sundae. Sorry the pictures loaded in the wrong order. But as you can see he loved the ice cream. I really think he was trying to kiss the clown when he realized it was yummy and ediable. We then went home and opened presents. We got Leo a fisher price CD player toy, and he loves it. We want to thank everyone who sent their love our way yesterday. We really appreciate it.

Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-6564599823351770392009-10-18T19:56:00.000-07:002009-10-18T20:37:02.656-07:00Leo is almost two!Well I know that you all know that Leo is almost two. I'm just trying to get myself to believe it. Time goes by so fast. It seems hard to believe that he's walking and trying so hard to talk. His favorite words are Hi! with this super cute wave every time he enters a room and the never ending "what's that".
I had to take Leo to the Dr again on Friday, I could tell that his ear infection hadn't really went away with his last antibiotics. So now we have a new antibiotic. Leo's nurses all thought he was there for his two year check-up I laughed and said "Well our next visit was suppose to be for his well baby but Leo just missed you guys I guess." They got a kick out of that and told him it was okay to stay away. He's already in a lot better mood and sleeping better (midnight to 4 am). Can't wait until he's healthy and sleeps from 9:30 to 7 am.
Leo got to direct the music during Sunday School today and I guess he was awesome at it and had a blast. The use a rather large baton with ribbons on it. And Leo was real good at keeping time. Leo also discovered his piggy bank this weekend. I can't tell you how many times he's emptied it only to sit quietly and put them all back in. Just warning you if you come into the house with change Leo may hide it from you in his piggy bank. My purse is ten pounds lighter so I think I should thank him. Well he's starting to melt down so it must be time for me to put him to bed. I'm excited its before midnight for the first time in over a week.Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5676876957583707263.post-41446143081519892552009-10-01T09:15:00.000-07:002009-10-01T09:29:17.290-07:00Croup and a double ear infectionTwo weeks have flown by yet again. We are busy as usual around here. David and Leo have had lots of guy time together. I had two extra relief society meeting last week. First on Tuesday night we learned about food storage. Decided I need to go, first the church is asking us to have at least 3 months of food storage then work requested we keep at least two weeks of food and water in our homes. Since I've never done food storage I decided to attend and see what I could learn. Then Saturday night was the general relief society meeting. We had supper at the stake center before watching the meeting there. It was a wonderful feeling to be in the same room as so many other women worshiping God. And I really got know a few new members in our ward. Sunday were all dressed and in the car on the way to church when we realized that Leo had a really bad cough and sounded like he was breathing hard. David dropped me off and took Leo home. David called in sick on Monday and took Leo to the doctor. We found out that he has croup, a double ear infection and a cold on top of all that. Tuesday David woke up with a 102 degree fever so he stayed with Leo again, and I got to go to work. Wed was the same thing. Today both David and Leo are feeling better but Leo's antibiotics have hit his digestive track hard. So David's back at work and I'm spending the day trying to contain the poo.
I can't believe that October already, I really need to give some serious thought to what we are going to do to celebrate Leo's second birthday. If you have any great ideas please share them, I'm kind of at a loss this year. Finding it hard to be in the mood to celebrate. Although I did find the perfect present for our little music lover. But you all have to wait until Leo unwraps it to find out what it is. Don't want anyone spoiling it for Leo.Rebecca1217http://www.blogger.com/profile/06001810598262478760noreply@blogger.com1
